With a creative upbringing and experience in screenprinting, painting, filmmaking, and fashion, I was thrown into the deep end of the design world at Sedley-Place, London, working with Gerry Barney at the desk over and clients such as The Princes Trust with meetings held at Clarence House, Coca-Cola and its Piccadilly Sign seen by 100 million people a year and Johnnie Walker bottle labels. I was encouraged to use a pencil and paper for my designs rather than the columns and lines taught at design school and was surrounded by an extraordinarily talented group of typographers, and graphic, digital, and interior designers, who took me under their wing and taught me on the job.
