— Sam Learmonth | Global Art Director | MediaCom, London

Bronwen has worked with us as a freelancer for almost three years and in that time has become an essential resource that we have called for time and time again. With Bronwen I’ve found she has a fairly rare mix of technical and personal skills. She has a mature and sophisticated overview of design that usually only comes with several decades experience but she has also kept hold of an enthusiasm and fresh outlook in design that means she can respond appropriately to whatever is required for any specific job. This quality also extends to whether she is needed to work on their own initiative and manage and run large projects (with other designers working in to her) or working as a part of a team supplying whatever support is needed.

Like any designer, she has a personal style that can be evident if you require it, but she has always been able to produce appropriate, attractive designs to any style required. Personally, for the right projects, I like to give Bronwen a little leeway to interpret my brief as she’ll always develop it in an interesting, creative way that still captures the essence of what we wanted. I’m very sad to see Bronwen go, and I’m sure that when people discover her lovely mix of personality and talent they will be as quick and consistent to hire her as we were and she will be very successful in whatever direction she chooses to take in her design career.

Bronwen has always approached her work with enthusiasm and commitment. She immerses herself in every project and contributes to each stage tirelessly. She is reliable and diligent, confident with clients and not afraid to discuss a point or lead the client where appropriate. Her creativity is instinctive and she can work across a number of disciplines, including storyboarding for animation, packaging and corporate identity and literature.

Bronwen’s primary expression is the drawing pad and not the computer so she is not bound by what the technical possibilities of a computer might be. She has a strong ability for drawing and can therefore express herself clearly. Bronwen is confident in a group environment and not afraid to express a view, idea or point of conjecture – which helps push a project forward. She is happy, personable, trustworthy and cares about her work and the people she works with. Bronwen is to be recommended as a creative asset to any organisation that offers space for creativity to flourish.

I had the pleasure of having Bronwen on the team at Buffalo & Co for 8 months as a Senior Designer before she went on maternity leave. In that time I found her creative, industrious and a valued member of the Team. Bronwen always approached her tasks with a clear plan and determination, and when the idea came to fruition she wasted no time delivering for the client. Creative thinking, accuracy and speed is a balance in the better designers – Bronwen was at the top of this game.

Bronwen also had another dimension not always seen in many designers – she added value in client meetings from a strategic point of view. Not only did she understand the creative brief – she understood the reason and rationale behind an idea and offered an opinion. This strength of being a strong contributor across the board will put her in good stead for future work in the field of advertising and design. I wish Bronwen every success in any new career path she takes. I know she will always do well.”

— Togs Dalton | Associate | Sedley Place Ltd, London

I worked closely with Bronwen while she was at Sedley-Place mainly on briefs for Coca-Cola and its sub-brands concepting, storyboarding and art directing to produce sequences for the Piccadilly Sign and LED signs in the London underground and various LED signs around England. These stages were presented using a mix of hand drawn sketches and the Adobe Suite.

Bronwen excels in generating and communicating ideas and always managed to add a unique approach to each job while possessing the technical skills to take a brief through all stages including client facing. She has an understanding of typography and the manipulation of elements and colour while working within brand guidelines with a creativity that comes naturally to her.

Bronwen illustrated organisational skills, an ability to manage her work load and was able to work on her own initiative as well as part of a team. She was a pleasure to work with showing a passion for her work. Bronwen has a great creative flare and a brilliant personality to match.

If you are looking for a thoughtful, collaborative and talented designer to work on your company branding and marketing materials, I cannot recommend Bronwen more highly. Bronwen does a superb job for us and we love working with her. Our customers tell us that in a crowded craft spirits market our products stand out and beautifully reflect our business story and values. What more could we ask?

it is the thinking behind the screen that makes for good design, conversations (or emails) with clients to get an idea of what they want (or don't want) and the ability to translate this with a mix of sympathy, patience, creativity and experience into something great. Clients often comment on my calm attention to detail even under deadline pressure and my communication skills - which is important considering a number of my clients I have never met in person!
